Donation of the Hellenic Business Association of Serbia towards the children's village "Dr Milorad Pavlovi'c" in Sremska Kamenica

On January 29 2023, members of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Business Association of Serbia visited the children’s village “Dr Milorad Pavlovi'c” in Sremska Kamenica, that is the home of just about 100 children and young people without parental care.

On this occasion, the Hellenic Business Association of Serbia donated a lot more than 800 products, including individual hygiene products, cleaning products, as well as a number of other products for the daily life of the children, worth 200,000 RSD.

 

Mr. Stylianos Zakof, President from the BoD., Mr. Nikolaos Sliousaregko Vice President of the BoD. and Mr. Vuk Dapcevi'c, member of the BoD paid a donation to the director of the institution, Mr. Mirko Jankeli'c, and received a thank you letter from the children’s village.

Part from the amount for this donation was collected in the traditional Christmas dinner from the members in December 2023, during which a humanitarian lottery was organized, as the remaining money was allocated from the Association's budget.

Greek companies and people in the Association once again stated the humanity and importance of solidarity and care for the community through the activities they initiate and develop.

 

The children’s village Sremska Kamenica belongs inside a large family of SOS Children’s Villages. It was established in 1975 like a 100th on the planet and also the 1st in the Eastern Europe. There are 200 children’s villages on the planet that operates based on the principles of the SOS Kinderdorf organization.
