President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vuci'c and Pm of the Republic of Serbia Ana Brnabi'c met today using the U.S. President Donald Trump’s special envoy for the Belgrade -Pristina dialogue, Richard Grenell, and the CEO of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), Adam Boehler.
Following the talks with the high-level U.S. delegation, President Vuci'c asserted we had not had such important agreements with the United States since 1881.
“It is really an important day for all of us. We established our trade relations with the U.S. in 1881, and that we haven't had such important agreements with the United States after that, and 140 years have passed,” said President Vuci'c.
President Vuci'c pointed out that the arrival of the International Development Finance Corporation in Belgrade is an important moment as all credit rating agencies that rank Serbia very highly shall observe it.
“Wherever the DFC is, there's a prosperous future, which is an excellent signal for this type of country and the like a region. We're proud their office is opening in Belgrade. We thank them for giving attention to our region and our beautiful Serbia. I am sure that people is capable of great results with our American friends,” President Vuci'c emphasised.
President Vuci'c stated that the good job have been accomplished for both – Serbian and Albanian people.
“We also discussed other important issues. We will work fast to launch commercial flights. It is important to conserve the prosperity of our country, to take care of our people, this is an excellent job for all people who live along with us. We'll build roads and railways. This results in a better life for individuals, a better economy, everything we dreamed of,” said President Vuci'c, adding that people opened the doorway to American friendship and the man was particularly grateful to U.S. President Mr . trump.
The executive director from the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), Adam Boehler, stated the agreement signed in Washington is not only historical, but additionally an expression of the fact that this country and region won't be captured previously, and can choose the near future.
“I came with representatives of six U.S. agencies. We came because we saw a commitment to alter. The office will become permanent. The leaders from the countries find the people, not political divisions. They chose jobs and economic strength, not what divided them in the past,” said Boehler.
The special envoy of the U.S: President for the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, Richard Grenell, asserted the united states aspires to fulfil the promise they made earlier.
“Not only to deal with words and political symbolism but to dedicate yourself the advantage of the folks. I wish to tell the people of Serbia to hold us accountable, not only regarding the Washington agreement but in addition for the three previous agreements. We're not just putting words on paper, that's pointless. Symbolism is important, but it does not put food up for grabs. You want to turn these promises into real jobs. We ask the folks of Serbia to carry us accountable. I had to work hard, to go through many problems on both sides. We're not asking Serbia to agree with the United States on everything,” Grenell said.
President Vuci'c also attended the signing from the Joint Statement which officially opened the DFC regional office in Belgrade which was signed by the Pm of the Republic of Serbia Ana Brnabi'c and the Executive Director from the American International Development Finance Corporation Adam Boehler.
